Bio-Based Epoxy Resin: Green DENATITE
Bio-based Formulated Epoxy Resin ASA Series
JORA-certified epoxies with excellent performance properties and exceptionally high bio-based content.
NAGASE’s bio-based formulated epoxy resins are produced using Green DENACOL™ (with approximately 100% bio content), a line of plant-derived aliphatic epoxies that enables formulators to fulfill both performance and sustainability goals. Through environmentally conscious sourcing and advanced manufacturing techniques, NAGASE provides a series of versatile epoxy crosslinkers that create new possibilities for developers of high-performance sustainable solutions.
The ASA Series includes both structural adhesives and matrix resins for FRP applications, tailored to meet specific industrial bonding and composite needs. These formulated systems are based on one-component (1-K) and two-component (2-K) thermoset technologies and provide excellent adhesion, low viscosity, high flexibility, and customizable glass transition temperatures (Tg).
The key variants include:
- ASA-8101: Structural adhesive (2-K) with 73% bio-based content, room temperature curing, and high elongation.
- ASA-8102: FRP matrix resin (1-K) with 95% bio content, long pot life, and low viscosity.
- ASA-8103: FRP matrix resin (2-K) with 78% bio content and high thermal resistance (Tg up to 145 °C).
- ASA-8105: HP-RTM, VaRTM, filament winding, and pultrusion (2-K) with 40% bio content, low viscosity and high Tg
We formulate bio-based adhesives and FRP matrix resins as ASA Series to support our customers’ sustainability objectives without compromising on performance.
NAGASE supplies these innovative bio-based epoxy systems globally, enabling sustainable progress across structural bonding and composite industries.
